KAROO MOONS
– The Oasis of
Indian Spices and Accomplished Wines
Ernest Rajcumar and Ramsay Mc Caull have created an oasis in the small
Karoo town of Aberdeen in the Eastern Cape, where they restored a
magnificent Victorian home (1894) which was designed by Steinhobel, to
its former glory and in so doing, transformed the property into the
elegant **** star restaurant and Guesthouse, named, Karoo Moons.
It is here where Ernest himself prepares and serves a gastronomic and
visual experience of Indian dishes. As you enter the urban chic styled
restaurant, these spice- filled aromas, together with the subtle
fragrance of incense, opens the mind to an evening of tantilising taste
bud delights.
Dining at the Karoo Moons in Aberdeen is a pleasurable time of absolute
personalized attention in the cooking, serving and hosting area and
becomes an experience of complete relaxed eating enjoyment. Serving
course by course, Ramsay and Ernest have a dedicated passion to their
restaurant which they are establishing as an art form of a unique fine
dining and wining experience.
The boutique wine and champagne selection comes from accomplished
Estates, which one would only expect with the quality of the Indian
cuisine. This restaurant will enthrall both food gourmets and wine
enthusiasts as they venture through the Karoo. |
